Francesca Burns is a pre-eminent creative, publisher, consultant and stylist. Her overarching vision is one of sensitivity, beauty, emotion, empathy, inclusivity and progression.

Throughout her illustrious career Fran has been at the vanguard of British fashion. From Fashion Editor of i-D magazine she went on to become Senior Fashion Editor at LOVE before joining British Vogue. She has contributed to numerous high profile titles including Vogue Italia, Self Service, The Gentle Woman, Double, WSJ, W and Beyond Noise.

In 2016 Fran partnered with Creative Director Christopher Simmonds to launch a ground-breaking new magazine format: Print. Collaborating with artists including David Sims, Harley Weir, Mert and Marcus, Juergen Teller, Frank Ocean, Pierre et Gilles and John Waters to name but a few; Print became an instant sensation and created a new vernacular within publishing, becoming a collectors’ item in the process. Issue Five launched in May 2024 and was Idea Books fastest selling launch ever.

Fran has collaborated with brands including Gucci, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, Kenzo, Sonia Rykiel, and LVMH prize winner, Nensi Dojaka on fashion shows, presentations and advertising campaigns.

Fran is a provocative voice within the industry, speaking out on important cultural topics including sustainability, inclusivity and equality.  She has co-hosted events with The Sustainable Angle addressing real solutions to the problems faced. She is a mentor with the Mentoring Matters scheme, which aims to address and rebalance equality and opportunity for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic individuals within the creative industries.

Today, Fran’s work is focused on creative consultancy, working with brands in an involved capacity on creative development, styling and visual identity.
